Danesfield House in Medmenham, near Marlow, Buckinghamshire, England, in the Chiltern Hills is a former country house now used as a hotel and spa. The house stands on a plateau which shelves steeply down to the River Thames to the south. It is the third property to have been built within this glorious setting, amidst 65 acres of formal gardens with outstanding views over the River Thames and to the Chiltern Hills beyond.
Marlow is a thriving and beautiful town in Buckinghamshire. Marlow is both picturesque and rural. However, it is situated very close to both the M4 and M40 motorways, and is within easy commuting distance of London. For visitors, and residents, there are a wealth of local attractions in Marlow including our unique shopping experience and plenty of interesting places to eat and drink.
Marlow is adjoined by Marlow Bottom, a mile to the north. Little Marlow is nearby to the east along the A4155 Little Marlow Road and Bourne End is further along the same road. To the south across the Thames are Bisham (home of Bisham Abbey) and Cookham Dean, both in Berkshire. In my experience, Marlow is a great place to live and a great place to visit!
